Smith's Heating Services

Central Heating Installation in High Wycombe

A central heating system designed around your home, not off a shelf. New boilers, radiators, pipework and smart controls — fitted properly and protected to last. Family-run, Gas Safe registered and trusted across High Wycombe.

Heating designed around your home

A complete system, designed and installed to last

No two homes heat the same way. We design every central heating system around the rooms you actually use, the way you live and the property you live in.

Whether you are upgrading a tired, sludged-up system or fitting central heating from scratch, the principle is the same: get the design right first. We survey your home, size the boiler and radiators correctly, plan the pipework, and balance the whole system so every room reaches the temperature you set — without cold spots, noisy pipes or rooms that never quite warm up.

We are a Worcester Bosch Gold Accredited Installer (since 2003) and Gas Safe registered, working with gas, oil and LPG. As accredited installers we can register extended Worcester Bosch warranties of up to 10 years on gas boilers and 7 years on oil — peace of mind that the heart of your new system is covered for years to come.

Correct installation is the single most important thing. It is what makes a system efficient, quiet and reliable, and it is why over 90% of our work comes from referrals across High Wycombe and the surrounding villages.

What's included

Radiators, pipework, controls and protection

A central heating installation from Smith's covers everything that makes a system work well together.

Boiler. A correctly sized Worcester Bosch boiler — gas, oil or LPG — matched to your home's heat demand and hot water needs, with extended warranty registered on your behalf.

Radiators. Right-sized radiators for each room, with thermostatic radiator valves so you control the temperature space by space. We can upgrade old, undersized or inefficient radiators as part of the design.

Pipework. Cleanly routed pipework, properly sized for good flow, planned to keep disruption to your home to a minimum.

Smart controls. We fit Honeywell and Drayton controls as standard, and can install smart thermostats — Nest, Bosch EasyControl or Drayton Wiser — for room-by-room scheduling and app control that helps cut running costs.

System protection. Every system is cleaned and dosed with inhibitor, and we fit a magnetic filter to keep sludge out of your new boiler. We only use chemicals recommended by Worcester Bosch, made by Sentinel or Adey.

Questions answered

Central heating FAQs

How long does it take to install a new central heating system?

A full installation typically takes between two and five working days, depending on the size of the property, the number of radiators and whether pipework needs re-routing. We give you a clear schedule before we start and leave your home tidy at the end of each day. Exact timings are confirmed at survey.

Do I need a power flush with a new central heating system?

If you are keeping existing radiators or pipework, a power flush is strongly recommended to remove the sludge and debris that cause cold spots and protect your new boiler. On fully new systems we clean and dose to manufacturer specification from the outset. We only use chemicals recommended by Worcester Bosch, made by Sentinel or Adey. See our power flushing service.

Can you add smart heating controls to my new system?

Yes. We fit Honeywell and Drayton controls as standard and can install smart thermostats such as Nest, Bosch EasyControl and Drayton Wiser, giving you room-by-room scheduling and app control to help cut running costs. More on our smart controls page.

Do you cover areas around High Wycombe?
